At WBIP, we work with you to launch and grow your digital business. We provide office space, digital engagement, mentoring, networking with industry leaders, classes on entrepreneurship and pitching events for funding. If you have a business idea, WBIP will help you make it a reality.

Services


Business acceleration

Guidance, Mentoring, Online programs on business development, Social media management, government policy exposure.

Coworking Space

Physical coworking space with basic amenities and connectivities. The office space is conveniently located within the city limits.

Networking

Events that will provide networking opportunities with access to potential investors, experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts.

Funding

We provide funding through collateral free loans from private and public sector banking institutions availing various government grants and schemes for entrepreneurship promotion.

Only Women Entrepreneurs (Individuals, groups and organizations) are eligible to apply for WBIP.

The selection process is based on commercial and/or social impact of your business idea. The launch readiness of your business service will also be an important criteria for the selection process. We are looking for hardworking, committed, entrepreneurial candidates who are looking for a platform to establish their business and sustain it for a long term.

Selected candidates will be notified via email.

No. You need to make travel and accommodation arrangements yourself during the selection process and program.

Once selected, candidates can choose from various programs offered by WBIP. We offer one-day workshops, five-day training programs and sixty-day incubation. Entrepreneurs will be provided with physical office space to work on their business ideas. There will be talks, networking and funding events to help you through various stages of the business development.

No. It is not practical to sign non-disclosure agreement with all the applicants.

Asha Jomis

Asha Jomis

Founder, WBIP

Asha Jomis is a Tech Entrepreneur. She holds an M.Phil in Technology Policy from University of Cambridge and is a recipient of the Commonwealth shared scholarship. While pursuing her Masters in Technology Management at Kerala University, she also had the opportunity to intern at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Always enthused about independently pursuing opportunities, Asha had previously worked as television producer for a Technology series in India and ran an online platform for academia, industry and government collaboration. She is passionate about the startup ecosystem and is looking forward to supporting fellow aspiring women entrepreneurs.


Anisha Padhee

Anisha Padhee

Gender specialist, WBIP

Anisha Padhee is a social sector consultant and has over six years of experience across corporates and non-profits. She has previously worked with organizations like Edelgive Foundation, Akshara Centre and Teach For India. Anisha feels passionately about gender issues and has a diverse set of skills including training, research, strategy and planning. She holds a Masters in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, and an M.Phil in Multidisciplinary Gender Studies from the University of Cambridge.

Dr. Jaideep Prabhu

Dr. Jaideep Prabhu

Dr. Jaideep Prabhu is Jawaharlal Nehru Professor of Indian Business and Enterprise and director of the Centre for India & Global Business at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. He has held positions at Imperial College London, Tilburg University (the Netherlands), and UCLA. Jaideep has a bachelor of technology degree from IIT Delhi and a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California.
He is the co-author of Jugaad Innovation described by the Economist as “the most comprehensive book yet” on the subject of frugal innovation.


Dr. Achuthsankar S. Nair

Dr. Achuthsankar S. Nair

Dr. Achuthsankar S. Nair heads the State Inter University Centre of Excellence in Bioinformatics, University of Kerala. He is an electrical engineer who had his education from University of Kerala, IIT-Bombay and University of Cambridge, UK. He has taught in various engineering colleges and universities, both in India and abroad since 1987. He had served as Director of C-DIT, Govt. of Kerala and also as Visiting Professor in University of Korea, Seoul. His activities include teaching, research and popular science writing in IT, Computational Biology and also some interdisciplinary areas.
